Position Summary:

The Marketing & Communications Department plays a key role in helping to promote The Foundation’s philanthropic work both locally and in Israel. In addition, the team plays a key part in developing ongoing and effective communication with existing clients as well as garnering new clients. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing The Foundation’s website, social media platforms, and managing the day-to-day department tasks. This opportunity will best suit someone who is eager to make a difference in a supportive and collaborative environment!

 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred
    • Minimum 3-5 experience working in social media marketing or digital media
    • Minimum 1-3 years' experience managing medium-large scale website
    • Must have experience working with WordPress, Constant Contact, Zoom events, and InDesign
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, senior-level executives, and high-level donors in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Interest in philanthropy and grant making preferred
      • Manage The Foundation website by updating content in a timely manner and working with other departments to cohesively represent the organization.
      • Create compelling content across all platforms that strengthens brand recognition and tells The Foundation’s story in a compelling fashion
      • Ensure consistent branding/corporate identity across marketing communications channels
      • Work strategically and collaborate effectively with colleagues and the executive team while exhibiting flexibility and adaptability

       Website

      • Oversee the website in totality
      • Update website on a continual basis
      • Working with web consultant, oversee continual enhancements of website, user experience, and SEO
      • Edit content for the website and other electronic communication usages

       Social Media

      • Help establish social media goals and strategy
      • Support in creating original content for social media channels
      • Lead brainstorming sessions; coordinate deadlines and ongoing project managing
      • Oversee quarterly analytics

      Administrative

      • Experience handling virtual events
      • Analyze and report on marketing campaigns through Google Analytics quarterly,

      and maintain the marketing department statistics dashboard

      • Support special communications projects, including board meetings, PowerPoint presentations, article reprints, and others as needed
      • Coordinate data list requests with the data manager for e-communications and mailings

      Additional Responsibilities

      • Manage vendor relationships, including graphic designers, freelance copywriters, photographers, printers, and other consultants; expand the pool of freelance talent
      • Other duties as assigned

       

      Required Qualifications

    Working Conditions:

    • Some local or Los Angeles area travel may be required to setup meetings and participate in events.
    • Flexible work environment with hybrid work schedule.
    • Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 depending on skill sets, years of experience, training, certifications, and degrees earned. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range unless they exceed most of the job qualifications.
