Remote Judaic Studies Teaching Position
We are looking for a dynamic, organized, tech savvy Rebbe or Morah to teach several Judaic Studies periods a day.
The teacher should have a strong knowledge of decoding and fluency skills in Chumash and other texts and have a strategy for increasing Kriah proficiency. At least 3 years of experience in effective teaching styles is required.
The teacher should be familiar with a variety of online teaching tools to facilitate instruction, reinforcement and assessment.
The teacher should see him/herself as a role model for the students and embody Torah values. Incorporating a growth mindset into the classroom environment is one of the fundamental beliefs at TDS. TDS uses a progressive model of education, allowing for differentiated instruction and creative expression of ideas while maintaining a commitment to authentic Torah observance. We strongly stress the relationship between teacher and student as a model for success, as well as the Teacher’s ability to be flexible and creative in order to facilitate the learning process.
Our plan calls for an in class aide to be in the room during online instructional time.
Note: These classes are synchronous classes which means that they must begin and end in sync with the students’ schedules.
Our school is on the West coast so the the scheduled teaching hours can arranged to be held any time between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Pacific time (1:00 PM- 7:00 PM Eastern time).
