Description

This is an exciting time for Nashville and for our Jewish community!

The Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville is the central voluntary organization of the Nashville Jewish community, with a growing and increasingly diverse Jewish population. Through fundraising, planning and community relations efforts, we work to promote the general welfare, viability and cohesiveness of the Nashville Jewish community and to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people locally, in Israel and around the world. The Jewish Foundation of Nashville, established more than 35 years ago, is the endowment arm of the Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville. This position provides a tremendous opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to build new community infrastructure to meet the growing demand and reflect the changes happening in Nashville more broadly.
Over the last two decades, Nashville has experienced tremendous growth. Today it is a diverse cosmopolitan city that is a national leader in business and technology, healthcare, tourism, education, and American arts and culture. It is also a city deeply connected to its rich cultural and historic heritage. Life in Nashville offers vibrant entertainment offerings and innovative culinary experiences; NFL, NHL and MLS teams; and of course, music—Nashville is “Music City,” after all. In addition, there are top universities providing undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs in a variety of fields.

Nashville’s Jewish community features Jewish day schools providing high quality K-12 education, and a variety of supplemental religious schools that provide comprehensive Jewish education and B’nai Mitzvah preparation. The Jewish community has built solid, supportive relationships with its non-Jewish and secular neighbors, civic leaders, and law enforcement agencies.
The city has attracted newcomers from all over the country, from cities of all sizes, changing the nature of our community. With the corresponding growth in the Jewish community, the stage is set for a dynamic, visionary leader to shepherd the next stage in Jewish Nashville’s development and help create the Jewish infrastructure for the next decade.
