PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Director of Programs

Duration: Full Time (non-exempt)

 

Summary: As the Programs Coordinator, you are an integral member of the IKAR team and will assist with program development and planning to include affinity groups, community events, adult learning programs, etc. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics for events and holidays, ensuring all details are executed smoothly and in alignment with IKAR’s values and standards. Specifically planning, logistics, and execution of the following events: 
    • High Holy Days
    • Shabbaton (annual retreat)
    • Purim holiday event
    • Shavuot community event
    • Other Jewish holidays as necessary
  • Support the Director of Programs with:
    • Vendor communication and research
    • Food and supply procurement
    • Calendar management
    • Staffing coordination
    • Graphic and flyer design
    • General administrative and logistical support as needed
  • Engage with affinity group lay leaders to coordinate events and marketing.
  • Provide technical support for virtual programs. 
  • Assist with logistics for Shabbat services, including setup, staffing, and communication with key stakeholders when Shabbat Coordinator is out.

 

Competencies and Qualifications: 

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, including multi-tasking and meeting required deadlines.
  • Advanced understanding of systems and technological solutions and enthusiasm for learning new functions and products.
  • Experience using Office software, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Google suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

 

Salary & Benefits: Pay range is between $55,000 and $63,000 with a generous benefits package including full health, vision, dental, life insurance, hybrid work schedule, and a 401K plan with company matching.
