Beth Emeth Early Childhood Center (BEECC) in Herndon, Virginia is seeking dynamic, nurturing, and creative early childhood educators to join our team for the 2022-2023 school year. Housed within Congregation Beth Emeth in northern Virginia, our Reggio-inspired preschool has expansive grounds to support our emergent, play-based curriculum for children between the ages of two and five. We welcome children and families of all faiths and backgrounds into our community where both the adults and children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate. Our ideal candidates have experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting; an understanding of the principles of childhood development and early childhood education; knowledge and understanding of Jewish customs, traditions, and holidays; and appreciate being a part of an innovative community, including sharing and learning with and from other professionals. Our educators should have a degree (associate, bachelor, or master), preferably in early childhood education or a related field. BEECC has both full-day and part-day program options between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday (we close at 5pm for Shabbat). Participation in training, staff meetings, and school events at other times is also required. Benefits include (but are not limited to) paid holidays, paid time off, and health insurance.
