Lashon Academy is looking to hire a Hebrew Teacher and Hebrew Instructors!
You must be fully fluent in both Hebrew and English, reading, writing, and speaking
We are looking for both credentialed teachers with a Single Subject credential in Hebrew as well as non-credentialed Hebrew teachers. This position requires teaching multiple grade levels TK-5th grade. Candidates must be comfortable teaching a broad range of grade levels on a consistent basis.
Lashon is a dynamic independent public charter school for children in grades TK-8th. Hebrew Teacher- Responsibilities
As a passionate and dedicated Hebrew teacher at Lashon Academy, you’ll plan and deliver engaging lesson plans, lead group instruction, and develop Hebrew resources for elementary and middle school students. Your primary role will be teaching Hebrew to students. You’ll work under the guidance of certificated teachers. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Hebrew, connect well with students, and be passionate about language instruction. You’ll collaborate with staff, attend professional development opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the school community.

Hebrew Teacher- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
- Single Subject Teaching Credential in Hebrew (Required for teaching middle school, strongly preferred for teaching elementary school)
- Fully fluent in both English and Hebrew- both written and verbal (Required)
- At least 1-year professional experience working with children in a school, camp, or tutoring setting (Required)
- 1 year of teaching children the Hebrew language (Strongly Preferred)
- Classroom management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
Schedule: M-F 7:30 PM-4:15 PM (4:30 PM on select days), some evening events
Position: Full Time
Number of Hours: 40 hours a week
Salary:
We maintain two separate pay scales based on qualifications
Non-Credentialed Hebrew Teacher: $66,000-$81,637
Single Subject in Hebrew Credentialed Teacher:
$71,070- $81,637 for newly hired single subject credential (salary table goes up to $117,221) a year PLUS stipends such as $2,500 annual for Hebrew single subject
$66,070 to $72,467 for newly hired Intern single subject credential (salary table go up to $73,661) a year PLUS stipends such as $2,500 annual for Hebrew single subject
