Hebrew Language Teacher 

New England Jewish Academy in West Hartford, CT is looking for a part time High School Hebrew Language. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of teaching experience and will :

• Be fluent in Hebrew (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
• Have a comprehensive understanding of Israeli Culture 
• Plan, prepare and deliver active learning experiences 
• Provide an environment that encourages participation, recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group, and offer support and flexibility as needed
• Continually assess student progress toward mastery of standards and keep students and parents well informed of student progress by collecting and tracking data
• Understand and enjoy the academic, social and behavioral characteristics of high school students and can create a respectful learning environment including setting and maintaining appropriate standards of student behavior 
• Cultivate positive relationships with each student 
• Develop a trusting partnership with parents. 
• Welcome constructive feedback and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities
• Support the mission and values of the school
