TITLE: Programs & Engagement Associate  

   

DEPARTMENT: Impact Division    

   

FLSA STATUS: Exempt  

 

SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $62,000 

  

REPORTS TO: Director of Programs & Engagement   

 

ABOUT THE JOB 

 

The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas (JFGD) is seeking a Programs & Engagement Associate. We are looking for an organized, engaging, motivated, and adaptable Jewish community professional who will lead engagement efforts for teens/young adults and support the Federation’s broader Engagement & Outreach goals. As the Programs & Engagement Associate, you will foster relationships and community partnerships, support strategic engagement initiatives, manage the Dallas Israel Teen Tour program, and support Federation’s community programming.   Knowledge of Israeli and Jewish history, culture and traditions is required. 

    

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Lead Federation’s engagement strategies and programs for Jewish teens 
  • Build relationships with local Jewish leaders and organizations, convene and collaborate with the Jewish Youth Professionals Council. 
  • Assist with Federation’s engagement strategies and programs to reach young adults, families, and adults 50+ 
  • Support community Federation programming 
  • Promote and oversee administration and distribution process for One Happy Camper incentive grants for Dallas first-time Jewish overnight campers 
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the logistics of three-week teen trip to Israel*, including travel arrangements, operator coordination, recruitment, registration, and travel to Israel with the group, supervising part-time trip counselors.  
  • Lead the RootOne grant process, voucher distribution, and pre-trip education modules. 

*Responsibilities related to Israel travel could evolve based on the current situation in the region. 

   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.  

Experience:     Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience working in community building, client services, events and programming, sales and/or relationship management is preferred. Experience in Jewish experiential education, youth engagement, or other areas of Jewish communal services is a plus.    

 

Skills: Strong communication, relationship-building, multitasking, and digital proficiency. 

 

Other: Must travel to Israel annually; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; social media skills a plus. 

 

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION   

   

Position Type: Full-time, eligible for benefits. See the Employee Manual for details   

Physical Demands: Includes travel, lifting up to 50 lbs, and irregular schedules during Israel trip.
