YATOM: The Jewish Foster & Adoption Network is an expanding national Jewish nonprofit organization that supports families looking to foster or adopt. YATOM is inspired by the mitzvah to love and protect vulnerable children who have experienced abuse or neglect. We strive to motivate and support the Jewish community in the journey of adopting and fostering children and to advocate for the needs of orphans, children needing temporary homes, and adoptive families.
YATOM seeks a part-time Program Manager to work 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Support the Family Fellowship
Support the micro-grant program
Provide development support by cultivating small donors and foundations to support organizational work. Includes grant reports and applications
Manage social media, website, and communications
Provide administrative support including updating databases and tracking expenses
The desired candidate for this position should:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher
Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a nonprofit environment
Have an interest in nonprofit management and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Be able to work with others in a friendly, professional manner; strong interpersonal skills
Have knowledge of social media trends
Understand or be willing to learn adoption/fostering practices and policies
Compensation: $1,000 / month ($12,000 for the year). 10 hours a week at $25 / hour.
