Title: Program Manager, Center for Jewish Belonging

Department: Center for Jewish Belonging (“CJB”)

Reports To: Rabbinic Scholar and Public Affairs Advisor

Location: New York City

 

 

BACKGROUND

The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) consist of 141 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. The Jewish Federation system, among the top 10 charities on the continent, leads the largest network of volunteer and professional leaders who build and sustain Jewish communities that are healthy, safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive, educated and engaged, involved in the broader community, and deeply connected to Israel and the global Jewish people.   

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager for the Center for Jewish Belonging will work closely with the Center for Jewish Belonging team, senior leadership, and community partners across the Jewish communal ecosystem and broader society to support the development and implementation of the day-to-day project management of the Center for Jewish Belonging’s critical ongoing focus areas of education, engagement and empowerment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support and organize CJB team meeting agendas, notes, and next steps
  • Manage communications, newsletter creation, and calendaring for the CJB Team
  • Support the creation of educational resources, run of shows, and slide decks for programs and events.
  • Coordinate communications, outreach and speaker engagement for CJB cohorts and convened groups.
  • Manage CJB team salesforce, asana, google drive, canva, zoom, and basic technological needs
  • Coordinate logistics for events, retreats, missions and conferences. Responsibilities include event production, working across teams to streamline activities, and implementing logistics for the day of event - or zoom if applicable.
  • Process reimbursements, speaker contracts, and grant agreements
  • Other assignments as needed

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Strong written, verbal communication and project management skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data analysis a plus.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
