NOW HIRING:

Program Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

Part time. Flexible Hours. Approximately 10 - 24 hours/week, 

The Board of Jewish Education is in search of part time assistant for a fun-filled position that combines administrative duties and creative hands-on programming. Applicant should have experience working with children, teens and young families. They must possess strong written and verbal skills, Jewish literacy and acommitment to building a strong Jewish community.

Kulanu: School of Jewish Studies (Tuesdays & Some Sundays)

  • Reach out to potential and returning students and parents about the upcoming school year via phone, email, postcard and social media.
  • Create and maintain a registration database for students to register and pay online via our website (Wix.com) 
  • Invoice and receive payment from students that have registered ? Maintain an updated database of phone numbers, emails, restrictions etc.
  • Prepare for classes: assist with attendance, snacks, dinner, supplies etc.
  • Assist with a hands-on Sunday afternoon teen volunteer program (2-3 times/month)

PJ Library:

  • Manage all aspects of the PJ Library database and registration system including address changes, returned mail and approving new enrollments.
  • Envision and implement plans to grow the base of young adults engaged in the program.
  • Coordinate, create and operate PJ Library family programs for the community.

BJE Friends Campaign:

  • Organize proper mailing information for each donor and potential donor
  • Prepare campaign mailings and follow up
  • Receive donations daily. Inputting donation into excel sheet, making individual deposits in Quickbooks
  • Make deposits at the bank multiple times a week Prepare thank you notes and maintain proper records of each donation
  • Follow up mid-campaign

Office tasks include (but not limited to):

  • Maintaining donor database and rosters via Excel
  • Manage bank accounts via Quickbooks and pay monthly bills
  • Receive donations 
  • Record & Submit payroll entries Maintain constant contact database
  • File back paperwork ? Assist with press releases, promotion, and recruitment for programs and events
  • Update items and events on website via Wix.com
  • Coordinate a monthly e-news blast in conjunction with all Jewish agencies in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
