Extended Day Program Coordinator - Part-time

The Davis Academy, an independent Kindergarten Prep - Eight Grade school in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs, seeks an experienced part-time Extended Day Program Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. The Davis Academy offers an outstanding work environment and a caring professional community. Salary is based on experience.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Three years of teaching or child care experience.
• Valid GA Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in appropriate educational field appreciated but not required.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively in a friendly manner with all constituents in a school environment.

Essential Functions

• Creates and facilitates an after-school environment that is engaging, safe, and nurturing for students in PreK – 8th grade.
• Maintains a clean and attractive Extended Day space.
• Maintains student files including contracts, and documentation of arrival and dismissal.
• Responsible for planning and implementing adequate activities (indoors and outdoors), homework time, and educational materials.
• Ensures the extended day contains sufficient supplies, materials, and snacks.
• Supervises, monitors, trains, and evaluates the performance of program staff members.
• Maintains positive relationships among students, parents, and employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
