POSITION OVERVIEW 

This position provides support to the Development team of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades to execute fundraising special events and campaigns, engage with donors, and contribute to the overall success of our fundraising initiatives. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES 

Special Events and Campaign Support: 

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising special events and campaigns. 
  • Support the business aspects of key fundraising events by executing all aspects of event logistics in coordination with Assistant Director of Development, Event Strategy and Engagement. Working with event chairs and volunteer community.   
  • Coordinate events including registration, auction items, and all logistics to include, but are not limited to, production timeline, budget allocation and adherence, vendor contracting and management (catering, A/V, entertainment), security planning, onsite support staffing, run of show, etc. 
  • Execute event day off logistics 

Donor Engagement: 

  • Support donor stewardship efforts by assisting with donor communications, acknowledgments, and recognition. 
  • Maintain accurate donor records in the database, ensuring information is up-to-date and properly documented. 
  • Respond to donor inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. 

Administrative Support: 

  • Provide general administrative support to the Development Team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing documents and event materials. 
  • Assist with data entry, event management, and other organizational tasks as needed. 
  • Assist in the preparation of fundraising reports and analysis. 
  • Assist with prospect research for major gift prospects. 
  • Other duties as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIALIZED SKILLS   

  • Bachelors Degree preferred and 3+ years with event fundraising experience. Experience working in a not-for-profit environment is a plus. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software (Salesforce a plus) 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Ability to remain calm under pressure. 
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment 
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization 
Salary55,000.00 - 65,000.00 Annual
