We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Coordinator to oversee the efficient management of our Jewish Day School. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the school's operations, including facilities management, transportation, safety and security protocols, and administrative processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of Jewish educational principles and values.


  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of the school.
  • Oversee facilities management, including maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school premises.
  • Manage transportation logistics for students, staff, and visitors, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and protocols, including drills and staff training.
  • Supervise administrative staff and support services, such as procurement, inventory management, IT, and record-keeping.
  • Develop and put into action daily systems and procedures to ensure smooth execution of all school operations, covering parent communication, student transportation, data reporting, attendance, teacher orientation, school food services, building rentals, safety plans, and facility and buildings and grounds management.
  • Collaborate with other school leaders to develop and manage the annual operating budget.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that reflects Jewish values and traditions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance the overall effectiveness of the school.
  • Report directly to the Head of School


  • 5+ years’ experience in facility/property management, construction, or plant engineering, preferably in education/school site.
  • Organized, punctual, and focused.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication/writing skills.
  • Familiarity with building codes, cost estimating, and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws.
  • Preferred personal experience in technical trades.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite, FACTS, /Frontline, and Blackbaud.
