Elementary & Middle School Learning Specialist

Hebrew Academy of Miami is seeking a Elementary and Middle School Learning Specialist who will work collaboratively with colleagues to foster holistic approaches to educating students. Our ideal candidate will possess a supportive, student-centered approach, geared toward students with a variety of levels and learning styles. The candidate should be understanding of and sensitive to the principles of social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities:

The Elementary and Middle School Learning Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster holistic approaches to educating students.
• Possess a supportive, student-centered approach, geared toward students with a variety of levels and learning styles.
• Be understanding of and sensitive to the principles of social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Enjoy teaching in small groups and one-on-one settings.
• Foster a love of Judaism and embrace our diverse Orthodox community.
• Communicate proactively, sensitively, and warmly with all stakeholders- students, parents, faculty, and staff.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Have prior teaching experience, preferably with individual students and in a small group setting.
• Possess an advanced degree and/or license in Special Education.
