Job Title:         Education and Training Manager

Department:   Community Engagement

Reports To:      Director of Leadership

Part time:        20-25 hours/week

The Education and Training Manager will be a part of the Community Engagement Team working directly with and reporting to the Director of Leadership. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing professional with a deep understanding of the Jewish community and philanthropy, community collaborations, donor stewardship, and volunteer management.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a new leadership program to identify and train the next generation of Federation executive level lay leadership with the goal of increasing participants’ commitment to Jewish philanthropy in time and resources.
    • Work in partnership with lay leaders to build the program’s content, identify and secure the scholars and facilitators
    • Identify and secure the venue for programs and determine all program logistics
    • Create meeting agendas, facilitate meetings, and present to various stakeholders
    • Coordinate marketing and program evaluation with internal departments
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute the recruitment and selection of participants in coordination with other internal departments and their lay leadership
  • Support existing leadership programs and training needs across the organization including and not limited to:
    • Agency site visits for board members and leadership
    • Bus captain trainings for Centennial Mission leadership

 

REQUIREMENT SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A minimum of five years of experience in non-profit program management, fundraising and curriculum development
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, able to multi-task, prioritize and navigate complex organizations
  • Ability to partner with lay leaders is essential
  • Relationship building and consensus building skills
  • Driven and determined leader who creates momentum and positive energy
  • Mirror Federation’s values: integrity, collaboration, passion, resourcefulness, and accountability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Comfortable presenting in front of groups
  • Familiarity with and understanding of the Greater MetroWest community
  • Work some evenings and weekends
