Cantor, Cantorial Soloist, or Musical Specialist (part-time)

Temple Beth Shalom of Arnold, Md (Annapolis) seeks a part-time Cantor, Cantorial Soloist, or Musical Specialist to enrich and build upon the strengths of a musically eager congregation.

Duties include:

1. Co-officiating at Friday night services. (2-3 times a month)
2. Co-officiating at Bar/Bat Mitzvah Shabbat morning services. (18 services for 2025-2026 school year)
3. Active musical participation during Sunday morning religious school.
4. Working with our Jr. Choir (Makheyla) which meets twice a month on Sunday mornings prior to religious school and participates in Shabbat family evening services once a month (during the school year).

Salary range varies based on experience and abilities.

Optional “add-ons” (for extra income not included in salary range):

1. Teaching on Wednesday evenings in the upper grades of our religious school.
2. Additional Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring.
3. Weekly song leading (once a week) with the temple's preschoolers.
4. Participation with the temple's adult choir (Nashira)
