Description

The Advancement Associate is part of the Advancement Team and will report directly to the Director of Admissions with a “dotted line” to the Director of Institutional Advancement. This position will support both the Director of Admissions and Director of Institutional Advancement through assisting in the admissions, marketing and development process.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Provide general support to the Director of Admissions and the Director of Institutional Advancement.
  • The ideal candidate is able to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities, creatively solve problems, operationalize and execute on existing development strategies.

 

ADMISSIONS

  • Support the overall admissions, recruitment, and retention effort of SSDS.
  • Support the department through management of all admissions contact lists and preparation of reports.
  • Schedule parent and student admission meetings and school visits.
  • Support onboarding process of first year families.
  • Schedule and conduct admissions and donor meetings and tours (as needed).

 

MARKETING & EVENTS

  • Assist in orchestrating all special events, including (but not limited to) the Open House, Annual Community Celebration, admissions events, donor cultivation and stewardship events.
  • Basic graphic design and production of visuals, such as flyers, slide decks, etc, using Canva or other tools.
  • Basic Video editing and/or creating as needed.

    

GENERAL

  • Work on special projects, initiatives, promotions and other programs as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS            

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Self-starter, with ability to problem-solve and multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience working as part of a collaborative team
  • Hebrew speaker, a plus

  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and sense of humor.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excitement and passion for Jewish education and Jewish continuity.
