Youth Director

Temple B’nai Or, a vibrant Reform community in Morristown, NJ, is searching for a part-time Youth Director to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic youth professional who can organize teens and pre-teens, build personal relationships, and expand our youth community in creative ways.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and implement activities that attract teens and pre-teens and build community
• Create a youth leadership to restart junior and senior youth groups that are connected to NFTY
• Plan special social programs for our Monday night high school
• Organize youth social action projects
• Chaperone grade level field trips
• Teach High School class as needed

Administrative Roles

• Work collaboratively with Director of Education to develop and manage program budgets
• Develop effective marketing strategies to engage youth and families

Qualifications and Core Competencies

• Strong Jewish identity and understanding of the principles of Reform Judaism
• Experience with informal Jewish education for teens and pre-teens
• Strong organizational, collaboration, technology, and communication skills
• Ability to serve as a Jewish role model

Work Environment and Salary

• Half-time, exempt position requiring some evenings, weekends, and travel
• Salary $20,000-25,000 based on experience
• Position will begin as early as July 1, 2025
• Position will be supervised by the Director of Youth and Family Educaiton
