POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:


The Director of Teen Services is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of all programming for teens and tweens. This role is focused on fostering community and engagement through meaningful experiences tailored to youth in grades 6–12. The Director will lead initiatives that support leadership, service, and social opportunities for this population.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Development and Management:

  • Design and implement innovative and engaging programming for tweens (grades 6–8) and teens (grades 9–12), with an emphasis on community service, leadership development, and social engagement.
  • Supervise daily operations of Teen Services in accordance with directives from senior leadership.
  • Lead the planning and execution of educational and recreational programs, including seasonal camps and Jewish learning opportunities.
  • Responsible for departmental budgeting.

Community Engagement:

  • Proactively engage tweens, teens, and their families to promote participation and program relevance.
  • Encourage youth involvement in the planning and evaluation of programs to ensure responsiveness to their interests and community needs.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with families, community leaders, educational institutions, religious organizations, and internal departments to strengthen programming and increase outreach.

Team and Volunteer Supervision:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff, program volunteers, and session workers; provide ongoing support and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on organizational and departmental events and initiatives.

Leadership and Innovation:

  • Collaborate with leadership on the creation of new programs and fundraising efforts to support departmental goals.
  • Stay informed on youth development trends and best practices to continually enhance offerings.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in youth or teen engagement; experience in a camp setting is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong ability to connect with youth, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Jewish traditions, culture, and community life.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Skilled in program planning, evaluation, and youth-centered leadership.
  • Strong decision-making and active listening abilities.

 

 

Salary65,000.00 - 70,000.00 Annual
