CBT Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant helps to maintain the day-to-day operations of the Congregation Beth Tefillah office. This role reports directly to the Executive Director. It is a part-time, professional position which requires strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task and to prioritize responsibilities, and a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Public and Community Relations

  • Promote a positive image of the Synagogue among congregants, staff, and the community
  • Address congregant needs in a sensitive and timely manner
  • Attend umbrella meetings or events when necessary

Communication

  • Field all incoming calls
  • Compile weekly emails for classes, events, announcements, and Shabbat & holiday services
  • Send notifications to congregants regarding donations, yahrzeits, etc.
  • Update and print weekly Shabbat newsletter
  • Regularly add current information and graphics to synagogue’s website

Administration

  • Provide assistance and support to the professional staff in the implementation of congregational programming as needed
  • Order office and maintenance supplies
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate and up-to-date campus calendar
  • Ensure that door and gate schedules are updated weekly
  • Change the yahrzeit board monthly
  • Provide office support for CBT Pizza Crew
  • Update ShulCloud accounts (address change, payment information, etc) as necessary

 Requirements

  • High School diploma or higher
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to create graphics and experience with ShulCloud database a bonus
  • Familiarity with Jewish holidays and customs preferred

Salary

  • $37,500/year
  • You will receive 5 days of paid vacation/sick leave in addition to Jewish and national holidays that fall on weekdays

Monday – Friday, 9:00AM-3:00PM
