Title: Director of Digital Operations and Outreach 

Reports to: Deputy National Director

Location: Remote-US/ New York Metro Area, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Denver, San Francisco Bay Area

 

Background

The Community Security Service (CSS) is the leading organization for training American Jewish volunteers to protect their communities. At CSS, our mission is simple: Protect Jewish Life and Jewish Way of Life. Through our tiered programs and training, volunteers learn to identify threats and proactively safeguard their synagogues, institutions, and events. We have trained over 5,000 volunteers across denominations and regions in the United States on situational awareness and operational security.

 

Position

CSS is offering an exciting opportunity to support the organization’s national IT and digital operations. We seek a dynamic, ambitious, and creative manager to translate CSS’s procedural and operational needs into technological realities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support all areas of CSS’ technical infrastructure
  • Identify and implement new technology and tools to support CSS operations
  • Troubleshoot, track, and anticipate technical issues that arise
  • Interface with vendors and identify new ones
  • Automate CSS processes
  • Train staff members and volunteers on new technologies and processes
  • Support CSS national headquarters in its overall mission
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Experience in IT or related digital fields
  • Experience in HubSpot CRM (incl. integration, and marketing & service hubs)
  • Experience with Google tools (e.g. analytics, google admin console)
  • Experience with Zapier or similar integration tools
  • Knowledge of WordPress and web design (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cyber- and data security (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and program management skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with persistence to see issues resolved
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree required

 

Other considerations

Must live in the United States and be eligible to work in the US. This position is remote/work from home.
