Join our People & Culture team as a Talent Acquisition & eLearning Strategist, where you’ll play a vital role in shaping both how we attract top talent and how we empower our staff to thrive. You’ll partner closely with managers to bring in exceptional candidates, guide them through a seamless hiring experience, and ensure they have opportunities to build their skills and careers. With a mix of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and hands-on execution, you’ll make an impact on UJA’s people—and our mission—every single day.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and define the skills, competencies, and qualities that make candidates successful at UJA.
  • Design and implement tailored recruitment strategies for each role.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and interviewing to making offers and onboarding—across administrative, entry-level, and mid-level roles.
  • Refine job descriptions to ensure they are clear, engaging, and inclusive.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines by cultivating relationships with potential candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and city employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather insights and identify opportunities for improvement.

eLearning & Professional Development

  • Oversee UJA’s eLearning management system (Absorb)managing course availability, tracking progress, and ensuring smooth access for all employees.
  • Design and develop engaging eLearning content, as well as plan communication, rollout, and evaluation strategies for training initiatives.
  • Support upskilling initiatives through needs assessments, gap analysis, and the implementation of innovative learning solutions.
  • Continuously enhance content to keep it fresh, relevant, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Special Projects

  • Jump in where needed to take on additional projects that advance People & Culture’s goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 10 years of professional experience -  5+ years in eLearning and recruitment.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of recruitment strategies, eLearning design, and user experience best practices.
  • Mindset: Strategic, innovative, and excited to make things happen—while having fun doing it.
  • People Skills: Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, work collaboratively, and communicate with warmth and clarity.
  • Execution: Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to juggle priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Skilled in SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, eLearning platforms, and SCORM content management, with a bonus for experience using AI tools to enhance learning and talent initiatives.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR Management or Organizational Development preferred.
