Programming and Communications Specialist
Tifereth Israel Congregation, a vibrant, active, egalitarian Conservative synagogue in the Shepherd Park neighborhood of DC that takes pride in caring for members in need while engaging in social justice issues in our neighborhood and beyond, seeks a dynamic and creative Program and Communications Specialist (PCS) to serve as a key driver of our community's growth and engagement. This person will take the lead in publicizing activities and promoting our congregation using social media, print and online channels—reaching both existing TI members and the larger Jewish community – with the goal of attracting, engaging and retaining members. The PCS will help lay leaders create and implement successful programs and events, as well as support projects initiated by the Rabbi and Director of Lifelong Learning
The right candidate is both a team player and a self-starter who is sensitive to a diverse population and has excellent organizational and communications skills. We are looking for someone eager to engage with our energetic congregation, while bringing their own talents and creativity to the job. We value aptitude and a willingness to learn.
