The American Zionist Movement (AZM) conducts elections every 5 years to determine the representation from US Jewish community to the World Zionist Congress (WZC). The World Mizrachi movement’s coalition represents the Centrist Orthodox Zionist factions within the congress. Our goal is to maximize the coalition’s representation in the congress and strengthen the position of the Centrist Orthodox Zionist Coalition in the World Zionist Organization (WZO). The overarching aim of this position is to create awareness about the election in all US orthodox communities and motivate people to vote for our slate. The Candidate must be able to work in the US and must reside in the US during the entirety of the election period.

Job Requirements/Skills:

  • Develop a comprehensive Strategic Plan for the election including:
    • Objectives & Strategies
    • Messaging
    • Timeline
    • Budget: oversee planning, spending etc
    • Tactics: Media/ Outreach/ grassroots
    • Implementation ideas
  • Collaborate with the core election committee to ensure goals are met in timely manner
    • Provide weekly reports on planning initiatives and progress
  • Develop relationships within Rabbis and lay leadership in key communities
  • Identify leaders within each local community who will work to enhance the Coalition.
    • Recruit and develop network of volunteers to solicit votes
  • Coordinate all marketing and PR efforts: including brand development, creative oversight, message development and implementation, media planning and placement, negotiation of PR opportunities and ad positioning
    • Develop nuanced messaging that resonates with the Orthodox Communities in the US

Core Qualities and Competencies:

  • Extensive familiarity with the US Orthodox Jewish community and its institutions specifically as they relate to Israel
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all organizational stakeholders including Organization leadership, Shuls and Schools
  • Self-starter with ability to initiate independently, think broadly and implement tactically
  • Proven ability to see a project from initiation stage through completion, yielding positive results
  • Exhibited ability to lead, manage and motivate groups of volunteers in various locations simultaneously
  • Experience in marketing/PR preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of social media channels/online marketing

Job Duration: Now - Through May 2025.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
