Description

Ohel is seeking a dynamic and organized professional to fill a Management role to oversee the daily operations of the Entitlements Department. The department supports our clients with Developmental Disabilities or Mental Illness to maintain their eligibility and participation in major government entitlement programs such as Social Security/SSI, Medicaid and Food Stamps.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee applications, planning and recertifications for clients
  • Train and mentor entitlement specialists, ensuring high performance and professional development
  • Manage the daily workflow, prioritize tasks, delegate assignments, and ensure accurate and timely processing of entitlements applications and renewals
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and develop new initiatives to better meet client needs
  • Collaborate with managers across the agency to ensure positive outcomes
  • Establish and maintain connections with external agencies, insurance providers, and other community resources
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid, Social Security regulations and other governmental programs, as well as organizational policies
  • Work with clients and family members to maintain benefits, address difficult issues and advocate on their behalf in hearings or appeals

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred with a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of entitlement requirements for NYS-OMH, NYS-OPWDD and NJ-DDD participants as well as Medicaid, Social Security and other government programs
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Successful candidate will have leadership experience, be intrinsically motivated, and have the ability to work both independently as well as part of a group. Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Salary: $90,000 -$100,000
