About Us

Shalom Alliance is a growing nonprofit founded in 2024 to empower Vermont schools and communities to recognize and respond to antisemitism. We work with educators, legislators, families, and community partners to advocate for inclusion and strengthen Jewish life. Our programs include the K-12 training and curriculum, legislative and community advocacy, and statewide leadership initiatives.

We are seeking our first Executive Director to lead this important work and grow our impact.

What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to advance Shalom Alliance’s mission.
• Represent the organization publicly with schools, community partners, and legislators.
• Lead advocacy efforts to address antisemitism and influence education and policy.
• Build and manage partnerships with national and local organizations.
• Oversee daily operations, including staff, volunteers, and finances.
• Drive fundraising through donor relations, grants, and community support.
• Partner with the Board of Directors on governance and long-term planning.

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for combating antisemitism and strengthening Jewish life.
• Leadership experience in nonprofit management, community organizing, or advocacy.
• Strong communicator with skills in relationship-building and public speaking.
• Fundraising and financial management experience.
• Knowledge of education systems or policy advocacy is a plus.
• Based in Vermont, with ability to travel for community engagement.
