Teachers needed for our exciting, hands-on, project based, experiential learning environment where the purpose of teaching Jewish knowledge is to help students become more compassionate contributors to their many communities. 

We are looking for teachers who are open minded to a variety of ways of thinking about, expressing and conveying Judaism, who have fluid (not fluent) Hebrew reading skills (particularly with Prayer-book Hebrew), and who have some understanding of Hebrew vocabulary. 

Responsibilities will include: 
1. Being present from 8:45 am - 12:15 pm each Sunday (includes set up and clean up) 

2. Following our detailed, weekly curriculum.

3. Ability to adapt curriculum to personal teaching style and enhance upon

4. Writing simple weekly lesson plans that coincide with the given curriculum.

5. Coming to occasional teacher meetings Sundays after class.

6. Attending 3 Friday evening Shabbat services throughout the year including 1 with their class.

7. Contributing ideas about how to present class content.

8. Understanding the Temple's philosophy through the clergy and how that needs to be reflected in the teaching.

9. Being excited about our hands-on, project based learning environment.

The salary is competitive with congregations of our size, and includes membership.
