Title: Senior Development Associate

Job Description: United Hatzalah is the largest independent, non-profit, fully-volunteer emergency medical services organization that provides first response care in Israel within minutes of the initial call of distress.

Friends of United Hatzalah, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which supports the work of United Hatzalah of Israel, is currently seeking a Senior Development Associate. This full-time position based in New York City (hybrid work schedule) will be responsible for supporting the President and Founder of the organization, as well as fundraising and other support teams.

The position reports to the Director of Fundraising Operations and will have significant opportunities to interact with United Hatzalah staff in Israel and in the United States.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

Fundraising support and donor stewardship:

  • Support President in his public speaking and fundraising roles in N. America with a specific focus on New York.

  • Help manage President’s existing relationships including scheduling of New York meetings including donors and synagogue engagements

  • Support President in end of year fundraising

  • Source new potential supporters for the organization, including research

  • Work closely with the NY-based team to support the organization’s priorities

  • Communicate with donors about issues regarding their donations

    CRM database maintenance:

  • Maintain contact and account management in Salesforce

  • Support overall fundraising objectives by creating reports and providing data analytics

  • Assist with donations processing as required


    Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years of experience in office administration (non for profit, fundraising support

    experience a plus)

  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, meticulous in recording information •

  • Passionate, driven, committed individual

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM

  • Strong computer capabilities, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Excellent communication, writing, research, and presentation skills

    Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000, annual salary, with comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, retirement plan with employer match, and paid holidays/time off.
