Seeking an Administrative Assistant for a Reform Synagogue in northeast Queens. Candidate must be highly organized with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others a must. Enthusiasm to learn new tasks and technology systems is key. Responsibilities include: Interacting with Temple Members, Preparing and entering deposits into QuickBooks,Timely processing of vendor invoices and preparation of checks for payment, Processing credit card transactions for dues/donations/other payments and entering in QuickBooks, Resolution of billing discrepancies in a timely manner, Answering phones, Maintaining and filing records, Ordering supplies, Maintaining database of Temple Membership - Knowledge of Rakefet is helpful. Using Constant Contact to send out email blasts, assist in editing the Temple Newsletter using Word. Assist in keeping Google calendar up-to-date. Must be proficient in Word, and knowledge of Excel is helpful.
Two days/week (Wednesday and Friday) - $18.00/hr. Salary could be higher commensurate with experience.
