Teach Coalition www.teachcoalition.org is dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to a quality Jewish education. Operating across seven states in the U.S., Teach Coalition advocates for equitable government funding and resources for yeshivas and Jewish day schools, making Jewish education accessible to all families.

 

Job Description:

The NY Executive Director will be responsible for cultivating relationships and increasing the financial commitments of existing Teach supporters in the four to six figure range, as well as inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters. As part of a growing community engagement team, the Executive Director will be supported by the state and national office. A successful Executive Director has a proven track record in sales, client relations, fundraising, or a similar field. The position supervises a Development Associate. The NYS Executive Director reports to the National Executive Director and is a Hybrid work opportunity.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Createand execute a plan aimed at increasing community engagement and growing Teach’s revenue through solicitations, donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Buildand sustain strong relationships with donors and inspire them to increase their investment in our work
  • Identify,cultivate, and solicit new donors
  • Meetquarterly and annual fundraising goals
  • Identify,recruit and develop lay leadership for leadership roles
  • Provideregular updates that inspire people to become more involved in Teach’s policy and advocacy work
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date movesmanagement records in the CRM system, including logging communications and meetings.
  • Engagecommunity members in action alerts, voting, events and other advocacy activities
  • RepresentTeach at community events and forums

Qualifications:

  • Live in New York State (5 Boros, Westchester or Long Island)
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in sales/fundraising or a related field with a successful track record of achieving and exceeding goals
  • Ties to the New York Jewish community and schools
  • Ability to pivot quickly to address rapidly changing situations
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can initiate and maintain contacts, relationships, projects, meetings and events
  • A problem solver, able to visualize and articulate solutions using an analytical mindset
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently and complete multiple assignments with attention to detail in fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong commitment to Jewish education and advocacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate experience 
Salary200,000.00 - 1,750,000.00 Annual
