Senior Marketing and Communications Manager Position Description
November 2023

General Summary

Tamarack Camps has been a leader in Jewish camping for five generations – a tradition that we believe should be available to all children and families. With the support of our generous community, we underwrite a large portion of every camper’s rate to maintain affordability. If additional support is necessary, we offer financial assistance, providing approximately $1 million each year – more than any Jewish camp in the world.

Programs for campers entering 2nd – 9th grades are located at Camp Maas in Ortonville, MI. Outpost experiences are located at Camp Kennedy in Shingleton, MI, and at Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp in Wawa, ON (Canada). Our teen travel trips in the Western United States, Alaska, and Israel are also highlighted.

We serve over 13,000 individuals, annually, including 1,250 Detroit-area Jewish children and teens, as well as 90 Israeli campers. In addition to our camper population, we engage approximately 350 college-age young adults from around the world. Tamarack Camps also provides extensive family camp opportunities for over 1,300 additional participants (children and parents and/or grandparents).

Beyond our summer programming, our Tamarack Adventure and Retreat Center (“TARC”) provides year-round activities to more than 10,000 participants from the community (fifth grade camp, band camps, and other secular and non-secular groups).
