 What You’ll Do 

  • Build hundreds of relationships with students by meeting them where they are, such as attending on-campus events and meetings, tabling, one-on-one coffee conversations, facilitating small group discussions, staffing immersive experiences, and developing new and creative initiatives.  
  • Take responsibility for executing multiple components of our campus brand new engagement plan to strategically build relationships with students. These could include things like our facilitating our FYSH program (First Year Students of Hillel), nurturing new relationships with students involved in Greek life and being present on campus at outreach events. 
  • Recruit, supervise, and mentor student interns, volunteer student leaders and student committees. 
  • Advise and support Jewish student clubs and affinity groups. 
  • Participate in our team’s outreach to prospective and admitted students by sharing your enthusiasm for UW Hillel, giving tours and helping make personal connections to our community. 
  • Play an active role in generating content for UW Hillel’s social media and communications. 
  • Participate equitably in staffing Shabbats and holidays alongside the rest of the professional team. 
  • Participate in relationship building with other campus groups and university partners to further UW Hillel’s collaborative work around allyship and combatting antisemitism. 
  • Utilize multiple strategies (including a digital CRM database) to collect attendance and engagement data for measurement and evaluation purposes 
  • Explore and engage in additional projects and initiatives that will fuel your unique passions and contribute to meeting UW Hillel’s larger institutional goals. 

What You’ll Bring to the Job 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 -3 years’ professional work experience. 
  • Experience in student organizations, especially Greek life or student government during your college career or past work experience.  
  • Vast enthusiasm for networking and meeting people, confidence initiating and running programs, an eagerness to ask questions, and learn something new all the time. 
  • Ability to identify your own interests and students’ interests and find where they intersect to create innovative new programming 
  • Desire to motivate student leaders to engage their peers, deepen their Jewish identities, and think innovatively about program content and marketing 
  • Exemplary time management skills, including the capacity to juggle competing priorities and deadlines, and a good-humored willingness to remain flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

 What You’ll Receive 

  • Competitive salary in the non-profit marketplace. The base salary is $45,000 commensurate with experience 
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, Group Supplemental Retirement Annuity (GSRA), pension plan, life insurance, Long Term Disability (LTD), Flexible Spending Plan, generous vacation/sick time, and parental leave
