Job Summary: The Youth Engagement Coordinator is a key member of our education team, responsible for designing and facilitating engaging Jewish programming for youth in grades 5–12. This role emphasizes relationship-building, youth leadership development, and dynamic Jewish experiences both in and outside the synagogue setting. The position is ideal for someone passionate about Jewish life, teen engagement, and experiential learning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teen Leadership & Shabbat Programming
2. Sunday Morning (Madrichim) Oversight
3. Kadima Programming (5th–7th Grades)
4. Teen Programming & Community Engagement
5. Administrative & Communications Support

This is a part-time ~20 hours per week positon, weekend mornings are required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

• Experience working with middle and high school youth in a Jewish setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both in-person and digital)
• General knowledge of Jewish practices, holidays, and culture
• Confidence leading youth programs and supervising teens
• Ability to read basic Hebrew

Preferred:

• Experience in camp, synagogue, or informal Jewish education settings
• Familiarity with B’nai Mitzvah rituals and supporting youth through the lifecycle
• Understanding of youth mental health, inclusion, and safety practices

Compensation:

$18,000 - $22,000 annually based on experience
