EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael (MJCBY) – Morristown, NJ

MJCBY is a vibrant, 250-family Conservative synagogue with a thriving Religious School that meets on Wednesdays and Sundays. We are a warm, inclusive congregation that brings joy and love for Judaism into everything we do.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Director to lead our Religious School and family programming. This full-time position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, with on-site presence required during school sessions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enhance the Religious School curriculum and faculty

• Inspire a love of Judaism in students, fostering lifelong Jewish learning

• Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, clergy, and staff

• Coordinate family education programs and holiday celebrations

• Collaborate with the Preschool Director and synagogue leadership

Qualifications:

• Degree in education, Jewish studies, or related field - or equivalent experience
• Experience teaching and leading in a Jewish educational setting
• Passionate about Jewish learning and community engagement 
• Warm, enthusiastic, and connects well with children and families
• Organized, self-motivated, and creative
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Comfortable with innovative approaches to teaching
• Flexible schedule to accommodate Religious School, programming, and community events
