Sunday-Only Hebrew School Music Teacher

We're actively seeking a music teacher capable of instructing music classes spanning grades K -7 for the 2024-2025 school year.  This instructional position establishes a solidified music program that includes Hebrew singing, Jewish music appreciation, and adaptive musical instrument implementation. Additionally, the teacher can integrate instruction on keyboards, percussion instruments, and bells into the curriculum and will be responsible for instructing weekly lessons on Sundays for students in grades K-7.

The Maryland School for Jewish Education, Inc. (MSJE) serves the Washington D.C. metro area, holds classes in Rockville, MD, from 9am-12pm on Sundays, and provides students with an education about their Jewish heritage, customs and traditions. The goal of MSJE is to teach students about the essentials of being Jewish and instill a sense of pride in them while making the curriculum engaging through a Project-Based Learning approach. MSJE promotes a sense of spirituality and a sincere pride in their culture. While MSJE is an independent Hebrew School and not affiliated with a temple, we are reform in nature, and prepare students for their B’nai Mitzvah and also host free High Holiday services for the community.
