Director of Guidance

HAFTR Middle School is seeking a dynamic and professional Director of Guidance. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, and be someone who possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills who is passionate about supporting students, and who is ready to work collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators and professionals. The Director of Guidance will be leading a team of dedicated and knowledgeable mental health professionals and interns and will work closely with school principals, the Coordinator of Special Education, and classroom teachers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mental health professionals and interns at the school, working alongside with the school's clinical supervisor
• Counsel students individually and in small groups on as-needed and ongoing basis; assign counseling cases to members of the guidance team
• Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators on social-emotional, behavioral, and learning concerns
• Design and implement Social-Emotional Learning and Executive Functioning Programs
• Design and develop individual and class-wide behavior intervention plans
