Executive Director, Jewish Teen Learning Connection

Jewish Teen Learning Connection (JTConnect) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and passionate Executive Director of our Jewish teen educational program in the Greater Hartford community. Our Executive Director creates a welcoming, inclusive community for Jewish teens and their families of all denominations, backgrounds, and levels of Jewish knowledge and observance.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all educational, marketing, personnel, and fiscal aspects of our non-profit organization.
  • Engage effectively with teens and parents to encourage and increase program participation and registration. 
  • Work with staff and educators to develop innovative classes, social action projects, leadership opportunities, and social experiences for Jewish teens.
  • Provide collaborative leadership, support, and supervision of staff and educators. 
  • Recruit additional staff and educators to support program growth.  
  • Build meaningful relationships with our synagogues, community partners, and prospective benefactors. Represent the organization in the community
  • Collaborate with our Board of Directors to envision and ensure the continued financial growth of JTConnect.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong Jewish background, studies, and experiences to support programming that is inclusive of all Jewish perspectives. This can include experience in a Jewish teen educational setting, such as religious school, summer camp, Hillel/campus setting, and/or youth group.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with teens and community members. 
  • Proven experience supervising various levels of personnel and building community.
  • Exceptional skills necessary for execution of a non-profit inclusive of organizational, administrative, financial management, and donor development.
  • Proficient computer skills (experience with Google Workspace, QuickBooks, Canva, Constant Contact a plus) and an understanding of social media.

What Else You Should Know 

  • The position is full-time, on-site starting July 1, 2025 and is based in West Hartford, CT. 
  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000.
  • Benefits: medical, dental, paid sick/vacation, CT Family Medical Leave, paid holidays, 401k, leave early for Shabbat.
