RITUAL COORDINATOR 

Make Jewish ritual come to life at Eden Village West as our Ritual Coordinator! Eden Village West is an organic farm-to-table residential Jewish camp in Sonoma County, California with a 6-week overnight summer program as well as other farm programming throughout the spring and fall. Our campers enjoy farming, wilderness and homesteading skills, culinary arts, music, and sports as they become empowered to promote a more environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually connected world for all. The Ritual Coordinator sets the container for a deeply spiritual, musical, and fun communal ritual experience at Eden Village West. 

Requirements

• Live on site at Eden Village West for the 8 week summer season (June 5 – August 4)
• Prior experience as an educator & ritual leader 
• Must love being organized and ready to coordinate with & support campers, staff & other community members in the ritual space
• Work well on a team and be open to direction from your supervisor.
• Songleading experience & ability not required but a significant plus
• Specialists must be at least 18 years old, and are expected to stay at camp the entire season and attend staff training. 

Responsibilities 

• Coordinate all aspects of Shabbat (Kabbalat Shabbat, Friday night oneg, Saturday morning Torah service, kiddush at all Shabbat meals) by organizing community members to help lead various parts of ritual
• Prepare new & experienced Torah readers 
• Alongside Songleader, create Kabbalat Shabbat set list & flow
• Facilitate Avodat Lev every morning as a Modeh Ani option 
• Support campers with b’nai mitzvah tutoring on an as needed basis 
• Support other missions around camp on an as needed basis

Starting Compensation: $3,000 base salary, additional compensation based on experience

Time Off: All staff receive one day off per week, and at least 1 hour off every day
