We are looking for B’nai Mitzvah Tutors for IN PERSON ONLY

Vibrant and warm Reform congregation in Bergen County is seeking part-time B'nai Mitzvah tutors to join our dynamic teaching team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, creative, love children and want to be a positive influence on the next generation of Jewish learners. Our school is a close-knit community that strives to create a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth. We are an inclusive community, and we welcome families from a variety of Jewish and interfaith backgrounds. 

B’nai Mitzvah Tutors: We are looking for applicants who:

-Have experience working with B’nai Mitzvah students and a love for being a part of their journey preparing them for this special lifecycle event

-Proficiency with Torah trope

-Ability to meet in person and weekly with students to teach them to chant their Torah portions and to review blessings, their Haftarah portion and service prayers

-Ability to manage their own calendar and scheduling in conjunction with our office staff. This includes corresponding with families, Temple staff,  being in regular contact with the Rabbi and School Director.

We offer a competitive hourly rate.

Our tutors are supervised by our Senior Rabbi and Religious School Director
