Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County is a warm, inclusive Jewish Day School that educates children from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade with a vigorous dual curriculum in General and Judaic studies. Are you passionate about early childhood development and creative play? We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic instructor to lead our Tots Together classes—where crawlers to Age 3 and their caregivers explore a world of wonder and excitement through open-ended play.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate play experiences
• Set up and maintain a welcoming, safe environment with intentionally selected materials
• Communicate warmly and professionally with families
• Adapt to the needs of the children

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children in a preschool setting
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in early childhood education
• Creative, organized, and confident in leading groups
• Passionate about play-based learning
• Comfortable working with both children and caregivers
• Familiarity with Jewish holidays and traditions required; prior experience teaching in a Jewish preschool preferred

Classes are typically held twice a week (one-hour teaching per class), excluding holidays. A calendar will be provided in advance. Compensation is $150 per class and includes time for set up and clean up.
