About JACPAC

Joint Action Committee for Political Affairs (JACPAC) is a national political advocacy organization dedicated to advancing women’s reproductive rights, supporting the U.S.–Israel relationship, combating antisemitism, promoting gun violence prevention, protecting the separation of religion and state, and more. Through political engagement and fundraising, JACPAC mobilizes supporters nationwide to elect candidates who share these core values.

About the Role

JACPAC is seeking a highly organized individual to oversee day-to-day operations, support membership and fundraising efforts, coordinate political programming, and assist with communications and events. This role works closely with staff, board members, donors, and volunteers to help further our mission. Candidates should be interested in JACPAC’s core issues, including reproductive rights, combating antisemitism, gun violence prevention, the U.S.–Israel relationship, and should also understand the political process and Congress. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage special events, including membership programs, fundraising events such as the annual luncheon, and policy conference
  • Work collaboratively with event co-chairs who will execute the planning and logistics for the special events
  • Coordinate RSVPs and follow up with donors and attendees
  • Segment lists and create personalized outreach to donors
  • Maintain membership and donor database; oversee membership renewals and communications with donors
  • Coordinate meetings with Members of Congress and support political programming
  • Support Board communications, meeting preparation, and governance needs
  • Manage Zoom meetings and virtual programming logistics
  • Assist with social media platforms and create digital content
  • Help with weekly newsletter and email communications
  • Manage interns and volunteers
  • Manage daily office operations and administrative needs

Qualifications

  • Passion for politics
  • Shared commitment to JAC’s mission and values
  • Provide a friendly and personal point of contact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft products (e.g. Drive, Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel), and managing donor databases (Filemaker a plus)
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail orientated, and demonstrated capacity to manage a high volume of work to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced setting, and to do so in collaboration with diverse stakeholders
  • Availability to support occasional evening or weekend events as needed

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a problem-solver with the ability to modify best practices to fit the resources and needs of JAC
  • Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively and exhibit professional maturity with major donors, board, volunteers, and staff
  • Social media savvy; experience using marketing campaign tools a plus

Salary: Starts at $45,000
