Communications & Brand Manager
This is a part-time, salaried (exempt) position averaging 28 hours per week, with a salary range of $40,000–$43,000, commensurate with experience.

Position Overview
The Marketing & Communications Manager serves as the creative and strategic lead for all synagogue communications, ensuring that Shir Ami’s voice, messaging, and branding reflect the energy and values of our congregation. This role is responsible for digital marketing, social media, website management, and graphic design ensuring that members and prospective members stay informed and engaged.

The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, a skilled storyteller, and a proactive communicator with experience in marketing, branding, and digital content creation. This is a part-time, salaried (exempt) position, averaging 28 hours per week with a flexible schedule and opportunities for hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Promotion & Strategic Communications

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to promote key initiatives, events, and fundraising efforts.
  • Ensure a consistent and compelling brand identity across all platforms, materials, and messaging.
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies for major events, educational programs, and community-wide initiatives.
  • Assist in fundraising and development communications, ensuring donors and supporters are engaged and recognized.

Digital Presence & Content Creation

  • Serve as Webmaster, maintaining an up-to-date, engaging, and user-friendly website that serves as a resource for members and prospective members.
  • Manage Facebook and Instagram accounts, creating and curating compelling content that fosters community connection, engagement, and is on-trend. 
  • Develop email campaigns and newsletters, crafting engaging messages that inform and inspire action.
  • Design visually compelling graphics, flyers, and promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency across all digital and print assets.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze website traffic, social media engagement, and email campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies.
  • Implement best practices in digital marketing, including SEO, paid advertising, and content optimization.
  • Stay current on trends bringing fresh ideas to enhance engagement.

Work Hours & Flexibility

This part-time role offers a flexible and dynamic work environment, recognizing that community engagement often extends beyond traditional office hours. This position requires in-office presence on Tuesdays from 9 AM – 4 PM, with flexible hours the rest of the week, working remotely and on-site as needed based on the programming schedule. Some evening and weekend availability will be required to support key events and community gatherings.

As a lifestyle position, we prioritize work-life balance with true scheduling flexibility. When evening or weekend events require your presence, you can adjust your hours accordingly—starting later the next day or using comp time as needed.
