Middle School Science/Math Teacher

Chicago Jewish Day School offers an exciting and innovative dual curriculum, encompassing the best of General Studies, Hebrew and Judaic Studies.  At CJDS, learning is approached in a safe, collaborative, and supportive educational environment.  We are looking for a creative, collaborative teacher to join  our Middle School team.

Ideal Candidate: 

• Has strong instructional skills and classroom management.
• Is knowledgeable about science content.
• Works well with colleagues.

Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and facilitating Grade 6 science and math classes using an existing curriculum and/or adapting/substituting original curriculum.
• Communicating regularly with students and parents, as needed, and preparing end of term reports.
• Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary middle school team.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s a plus.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
