Opportunity for Impact

ImpactIsrael seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to manage the systems and data that propel ImpactIsrael’s development efforts. This is a pivotal opportunity for a driven professional eager to take full ownership of our development systems, donor data, and prospect intelligence. You will be the engine behind how ImpactIsrael leverages data to expand our donor base and elevate stewardship strategies, laying the foundation for long-term philanthropic growth and organizational impact. The role also includes providing executive support to the CEO and coordinating board meetings and special initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about growing the revenue of a mission-driven organization.

The Development Associate is a key member of ImpactIsrael’s fundraising team who will join our organization at an exciting moment of transition and growth and will play a crucial role with an exceptionally invested and generous community of donors and staff. The Development Associate will report to the Chief Operating and Development Officer and will work closely with the CEO and Director of Finance and Administration.

Key Responsibilities 

Prospect Research & Campaign Analytics

  • Spearhead research efforts to uncover new high-capacity prospects (individuals and foundations capable of giving $50,000+).
  • Strategically map cultivation paths and support personalized engagement plans for major donor prospects.
  • Drive our moves management process forward by equipping development staff with real-time data and reminders for proactive follow-up.
  • Harness platforms like iWave and Salesforce to deepen donor insights and build predictive models.
  • Track, assess, and report on fundraising campaign performance to inform real-time decision-making and long-term strategy.

Data & CRM Management

  • Act as our internal Salesforce lead: ensure optimal utilization, safeguard data integrity, build actionable reports, and serve as the go-to for day-to-day CRM needs.
  • Collaborate with an external Salesforce consultant to execute high-level technical customizations and improvements.
  • Regularly audit and maintain clean, optimized contact and account records.
  • Design and implement campaign-specific donation pages and digital giving portals that reflect our brand and goals.

Development Operations & Events

  • Monitor and manage grant deadlines, reporting calendars, and compliance workflows.
  • Create and segment targeted mailing and invitation lists to maximize appeal and event engagement.
  • Lead logistical coordination for donor events, including RSVP tracking, payments, and stewardship materials with special attention to high-touch experiences like Missions to Israel.
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendors and manage all aspects of event execution from catering to on-site logistics.

Gift Processing & Acknowledgment

  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all contributions (checks, credit cards, and stock gifts) into Salesforce.
  • Oversee check deposits and partner with the Director of Finance and administration to reconcile donations across Salesforce and banking systems.
  • Lead the timely generation of pledge reminders, donor invoices, acknowledgment letters, and tribute cards.

Administrative & Executive Support

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations, including call management, supplies, and tech coordination with our IT consultant.
  • Provide executive support to the CEO and Board Committees by managing schedules, travel, materials, and briefing documents.
  • Orchestrate Board meeting logistics and prepare comprehensive presentation packets to support high-level governance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or related field.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or administrative support.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce strongly preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with fundraising tools like iWave, Classy, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and comfort with AI tools like Chat GPT.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort working with data and reports.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential donor information.
