About Belev Echad

Founded in 2009 as an annual tour through New York City to honor wounded IDF soldiers, Belev Echad has evolved into a globally recognized nonprofit dedicated to restoring the lives of these brave heroes. Through emotional, mental, medical, legal, and financial support, we provide life-saving resources to wounded veterans—services they often can’t access on their own.

These heroes fought for Israel. Now, we fight for them.

Our programs empower soldiers and their families to heal, reintegrate, and thrive. Whether it’s mental health treatment, physical rehabilitation, or vocational reintegration, we walk alongside our soldiers every step of the way—ensuring they are supported, uplifted, and never alone.

Position Overview

Belev Echad is seeking a strategic, passionate, and relationship-driven Major Gifts Officer to strengthen and grow our base of high-level supporters. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role focuses on cultivating, stewarding, and soliciting major donors ($25,000+), building lasting relationships that fuel Belev Echad’s life-changing mission.

You’ll be part of a close-knit development team working to help shape the future of one of the most impactful Israel-focused organizations in the world

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, building personalized engagement and solicitation strategies.
  • Identify and qualify new major gift prospects through research, networking, and cultivation.
  • Conduct regular donor meetings—virtually and in person—to build deep, authentic relationships grounded in trust and impact.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and development team to craft mission-aligned proposals, reports, and stewardship materials.
  • Support major donor participation in events, tours, and recognition opportunities.
  • Help shape campaign strategies and contribute to overall revenue growth, donor retention, and pipeline expansion.

What we are looking for

  • 5–8 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a successful track record of closing major gifts.
  • Deep commitment to Israel and Jewish values.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfortable engaging high-net-worth individuals and representing Belev Echad at events and meetings.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and collaborative—a team player with a heart for service.
