HHD Cantor/Prayer Leader

B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, a large Conservative synagogue in Cleveland, Ohio (900 families) seeks an enthusiastic Cantor / Cantorial Soloist / Song Leader to co-lead our 2025 High Holiday parallel service in coordination with our rabbis. 

We're looking for someone who will partner with our rabbis in this parallel minyan to the main service, which does not utilize a choir, and which aims to create a meaningful spiritual experience for approximately 300 participants. We have comprehensive service outlines and are flexible and willing to incorporate new prayers and melodies. We do not use instrumentation on the holidays. 

We have a very active community; members read Torah, chant Haftorah and blow Shofar. The rabbis will offer sermons and brief commentary throughout but will rely on the Cantor / Cantorial Soloist / Song Leader as the primary Shaliach Tzibur. Compensation is $4,500, plus travel and lodging.
