Description

We are seeking a passionate, skilled presenter and facilitator to coordinate and provide abuse prevention services in Chicago’s Orthodox Jewish day schools and to provide mental health education and support across Chicagoland’s diverse Jewish community.

This position is full time and benefits eligible.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and present abuse prevention training for students, staff and faculty in Chicago area Orthodox Jewish day schools and Jewish day and overnight camps across the denominational spectrum.
  • Work closely with colleagues and Jewish communal partners to develop and facilitate mental health education and support programming, including support for parents, across Chicago’s Jewish community.
  • Provide information, referrals and consultations on abuse and mental health for community members and community professionals. 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or related field required.
  • Knowledge and clinical experience with abuse and mental health and their impact on individuals and families required. Experience with children and parents strongly preferred.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills in-person and online required, with minimum three years of experience, including ability to adapt to meet changing needs and circumstances and to work with adults and children.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work, interact and communicate effectively with clergy and other professionals across Chicago’s diverse Jewish community, including extensive experience in the Orthodox Jewish community.  
  • Ability to travel to different locations, primarily on Chicago’s north side and north/northwest suburbs required.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends required.

 

New hires would need to be fully vaccinated with 1 or 2 doses and booster and provide their card upon hire OR begin receiving the booster within 2 weeks of being hired and participate in weekly COVID testing until fully vaccinated OR provide documentation for an ADA or religious exemption and participate in weekly COVID testing.
