Temple Torat Emet, an egalitarian Conservative shul in Boynton Beach, FL (affiliated with USCJ), seeks a Cantor to engage our community in prayer and song during High Holidays 2023/5784. We are a 290+ household congregation that serves Boynton Beach and the surrounding communities. The Cantor will collaborate with our Rabbi, Ritual Committee and members of our community to develop warm and meaningful services. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong singing voice and the ability to elicit congregational participation.

It is expected that the candidate will meet with our Rabbi and ritual committee at least twice prior to High Holidays to plan the service.
Compensation: $8,000 to $10,000 depending on experience.
We are happy to arrange for the candidate (and their family) to have dinners at congregant’s homes for erev Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
We are also open to expanding this role to a part-time (twice a month) bimah Cantor role for the right candidate who is intersted in this possiblity.
