As a Partnership Outreach Director for BBYO, you will the lead the partnership recruitment efforts for the Movement Experiences team. This includes BBYO’s Passport programs, domestic leadership programs, and International Convention.
The ideal candidate has a great personality, is outgoing, likes to work to create strong partnerships and offer individuals new experiences. This person should be organized, solution- oriented, and quick to learn new technologies and platforms. This person has customer service experience and enjoys being ‘one step ahead’ in anticipating needs of each community partner.
You have experience working in customer service, travel programs, and engaging with teens and parents. You thrive when given the chance to sell amazing meaningful programs and support families and organizations through the registration process. You equally love tending to all details behind-the-scenes, while keeping an eye on the big picture. You possess a skill set that includes strong customer service, logical thinking, strong presentation skills and professional writing. You are a self-starter, a problem solver, a collaborative team player, tech savvy, and enjoy working in a constantly evolving environment. Over the summer, we run dozens of immersive experiences including extensive Israel travel, missions and community tours across six continents, and a myriad of leadership camps. What You will Get to Do as Partnership Outreach Director:
Build partnerships with synagogues, camps, JCCs, day schools, and other partners to recruit their teen groups to travel with us through Passport and other BBYO opportunities
Build and lead presentations (in person and virtual) to promote BBYO partnerships for Passport travel
Liaise and support all partners throughout the registration and travel process
Support partners with the collection of medical and travel forms
Assist with staff selection from partner agencies for Passport travel
Work with BBYO's Community Engagement and Community Impact departments to organize parlor meetings to recruit Passport and domestic leadership programs
Attend local BBYO regional conventions to assist with Movement Experience recruitment
Cover emergency line during a piece of the summer to support teens and their families
Serve as a key member of the Immersives team, working every day to advance BBYO’s organizational goals
Bachelor’s degree required
5-7 years of relevant professional experience
Experience working with international or domestic travel programs
Experience traveling to Israel
Experience with sales and customer service
Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills
Ability to work non-traditional hours (nights and weekends)
Ability to travel on an as needed basis – approximately 25% of the year, to support BBYO Passport’s business as well as attend core BBYO annual moments like Staff Conferences, International Convention, Regional Conventions, Summer Experiences, and Passport staff training and to communities for recruitment purposes.
Ability to work 2-4 weeks at a Movement Experience program each Summer
Unrestricted work authorization to work in the U.S. without holding visa or sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred, but not required, skills:
Comfortable with technology and varying platforms
Experienced traveler with extensive ability in navigating airlines, airports, and new cities
